EcoChill delivers high-quality, sustainable refrigeration solutions to commercial and supermarket clients across New Zealand. We’re seeking a skilled Lead Supermarket Refrigeration Installer to lead and deliver installations across the North Island.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work both on the tools and guide a team to successfully complete refrigeration system installations for major supermarket brands. You will also build strong client relationships across project sites.

You can expect to:

• Lead on-site installation of supermarket and CO₂ refrigeration systems

• Guide and support a small team of technicians and installers

• Actively contribute to installations alongside your team

• Liaise with clients, site managers and key stakeholders

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

• Maintain strong health, safety and compliance practices

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability and a proactive, solutions focused mindset.

To be successful, you will have:

• 3+ years’ experience in installing supermarket refrigeration systems

• Confidence leading jobs or stepping into a supervisory role

• Strong communication and relationship building capabilities

• A high standard of work and attention to quality

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

• A willingness to travel across the North Island for periods of time

• A full NZ driver licence

• Relevant refrigeration qualifications and licences

Location & Travel

This role can be based anywhere in the North Island, with travel required depending on project locations. Accommodation and travel support will be provided.
